Together you will explore the winding rooms of the castle, gather clues, and use razor-sharp logic to deduce who among the suspects is the true thief. The twist: only you possess the gift of speaking to the castle animals. They witnessed the crime, but they won’t reveal their secrets for nothing – they demand their favourite treats, which you must track down first.

In Whowasit?, you are not competitors, but a team of investigators. Your greatest resource is communication, and your greatest enemy is the relentlessly ticking clock. Every action in the castle costs valuable time. Do you roll the dice to move from room to room, search chests for the right food for the animals, or use the help of the castle ghost? Every decision must be carefully considered.
The animals are your most important informants. If you feed the cat with milk or the horse with an apple, they will reveal valuable details about the thief: ‘He is not wearing a hat’ or ‘She has dark hair’. Piece by piece, you narrow down the circle of suspects. But be on your guard – the evil wizard is hot on your heels, trying to sabotage your investigation. With magical objects that you can discover in the castle, you gain strategic advantages to ease the time pressure a little. Find the ring, unmask the thief, and save the kingdom from ruin!
